At last, vehicle stickers now available at LTO
MANILA, Philippines – Vehicle validation stickers are finally available at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) after the agency encountered supply problems in 2011.
LTO spokesman Jason Salvador told The STAR that the stickers are now available in the National Capital Region (NCR), Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) and Central Luzon.
Salvador said they would start shipping out the stickers to other LTO regional offices nationwide after the Holy Week.
The stickers are attached to a motor vehicle for identification purposes.
Salvador said they ordered the stickers in January. He said those who have paid could start claiming the stickers in LTO offices where they are available.
He advised motorists to present their official receipts should LTO enforcers apprehend them, to show their vehicles are registered.
Earlier, Sen. Francis Escudero asked the LTO to stop collecting P50 from motorists for what he described as non-existent registration stickers.
The senator issued the statement after receiving complaints from motorists who have been paying for the past five years but had not receive any sticker.
