7 areas now under signal no. 3 as Typhoon ‘Lando’ intensifies

As of 11 a.m. typhoon Lando is carrying maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph.

MANILA, Philippines – Seven areas are now under public storm warning signal no. 3 as Typhoon “Lando” continues to maintain its strength moving closer to Luzon the state bureau said on Saturday.

In its latest bulletin issued at 11 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Lando was located at 295 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora.

Lando is carrying maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. It was forecast to be moving west at 10 kph.
