MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Grace Poe is the most preferred presidential bet in the 2016 national elections, according to the latest Pulse Asia survey released on Monday.
Poe scored 26 percent while Liberal Party standard bearer Manuel "Mar" Roxas II scored 20 percent.
Vice President Jejomar Binay of the United Nationalist Alliance ranked third with 19 percent, followed by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte with 16 percent.
Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. scored 6 percent, followed by Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada (5 percent), Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago (3 percent), former Sen. Panfilo "Ping" Lacson (2 percent), Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano (1 percent) and Akbayan Party-list Rep. Walden Bello (0.1 percent).
Poe also topped the vice presidential preference poll with 24 percent, followed by her running mate, Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero with 23 percent.
Marcos placed third among the preferred vice presidential bets with 13 percent), followed by Cayetano with 9 percent.
President Benigno Aquino III garnered 6 percent, followed by Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos and Lacson with 5 percent.
Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and Sen. Jinggoy Estrada both scored 4 percent while Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo got 3 percent.
Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan scored 2 percent while Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares scored 0.1 percent.
The respondents were asked who among the possible presidential and vice presidential bets would they vote for if the elections were held during the day of the survey.
