Habagat to bring rains as 'Ineng' exits PAR
MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon "Ineng" has left the Philippine area of responsibility on Monday midnight but will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon or "habagat."
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration announced that the typhoon is already at the vicinity of Okinawa, Japan.
Metro Manila and parts of Luzon will continue to experience cloudy skies with intermittent light to moderate rains within two days which may trigger flash floods and landslides, according to the weather bureau.
Yellow rainfall warning alert (possible flooding in low lying areas) is raised in the following areas:
- Zambales
- Bataan
- Bulacan
- Pampanga
- Nueva Ecija
Thunderstorm alert is also raised in the following areas:
- Metro Manila (CAMANAVA, North Caloocan, Quezon City)
- Rizal (San Mateo, Rodriguez)
- Batangas (Nasugbu)
- Cavite (Ternate, Maragondon)
The weather bureau assured that they have not monitored any weather disturbance near the PAR. The next tropical cyclone which will enter the country will locally be named "Jenny."
