LOOK: Projected power situation in areas hit by Glenda

MANILA, Philippines — As several areas continue to experience brownouts, the Department of Energy (DOE) has released a projection of the power situation in the provinces affected by Typhoon "Glenda."

The projection, which was released by the DOE along with the National Grid Corp. (NGCP), Manila Electric Co. and electric cooperatives, shows the power situation for July 18 and 19.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, four provinces and 74 municipalities and cities in the regions of Ilocos, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Eastern Visayas and Metro Manila still have no power as of Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the NGCP released a list of the transmission lines, facilities and areas affected by the typhoon.

The agency said all 69kV lines in Batangas and Sorsogon are still out while portions of Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Quezon and Bicol region are isolated from the grid due to the outage of the abovementioned lines.
