MANILA, Philippines - The Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board has suspended for 30 days the Florida Bus that plunged into a 150-meter ravine in Bontoc, Mountain Province on Friday.
The accident left 17 people dead and 31 others injured.
The Florida Trans Bus, which originated from the Florida Trans terminal in Sampaloc Manila, fell into the ravine while negotiating a steep part of the mountain highway in sitio Pagang. The accident took place at around 7: 20 a.m. Friday.
Among those who were killed were comedian Tado, whose real name was Arvin Jimenez, and Canadian Alex Anders Loring and Dutch Anne Van de Ven.
