PNoy reveals birthday wish but mum on Valentine plans
MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno III will celebrate his 54th birthday this Saturday, February 8.
After the country faced a number of disasters in 2013, the President said his birthday wish for this year is more resilience for communities.
"Siyempre para (mag) pray, thank you for the 54 years and also for all of the things that we are aspiring for especially iyong better communities, more resilient to disasters especially given that there are so many disasters that still visiting our shores," Aquino was quoted as saying in an article by the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
Aquino said he will spend time with his family and some close friends on Saturday.
"Tradisyon sa amin lalo na sa mga Kapampangan magpakain. Sana kaya ko kayong pakainin lahat," Aquino said.
But when asked about his plans for Valentine's Day, Aquino had this to say: "Sisiguraduhin ko na iyong mga date ninyo sa Valentines — para magkaroon kayo ng pagkakataon na ma-celebrate ang Valentine’s Day ng mapayapa."
