11 PNP senior officials get new posts
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police has promoted 11 senior police officials to their new posts, the PNP announced on Wednesday.
The latest round of reorganization of officials occupying third level key positions was triggered by the recent retirement of 2nd in command, Police Deputy Director General Ager Ontog, and three members of the PNP Directorial Staff.
PNP Chief Director General Alan Purisima has approved the new designations upon the recommendation of the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board.
During simple Change of Command ceremonies in Camp Crame last Tuesday, Purisima formally installed three police officials to top posts in the PNP Command Group.
The three PNP top brass now occupying the three highest posts are Deputy Director General Felipe Rojas Jr. (2nd in Command of the PNP as The Deputy Chief for Administration), Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina (3rd in Command as The Deputy Chief for Operations, and Chief Superintendent Marcelo Garbo (4th in Command as Acting Chief of Directorial Staff).
Purisima also named the following senior police officials to new posts in the PNP Directorial Staff , Police Regional Office, and National Support Units :
- Chief Superintendent Jaime Morente, acting Director for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM);
- Chief Superintendent Charles Calima, acting Director for IntelIigence;
- Chief Superintendent Alex Paul Monteagudo, acting Director for Human Resource and Doctrine Development;
- Chief Superintendent Ricardo Marquez, acting Director for Operations;
- Police Director Francisco Uyami Jr., Director for Research and Development;
- Chief Superintendent Benjamin Magalong, acting Director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group;
- Chief Superintendent Josephus Angan, acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 6 in Western Visayas;
- Chief Superintendent Isagani Nerez, acting Regional Director PRO Cordillera.
