MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine STAR is warning the public to be on the lookout for individuals misrepresenting the newspaper for various purposes. A certain William Nicolas is NOT connected with The STAR. Alder Almo is an editor of The STAR online but denies knowing Nicolas or misrepresenting the newspaper. Their telephone landline, 533-01-46, is NOT a STAR office number. Persons contacted by the con artists are requested to alert appropriate authorities. You may also call The STAR at 527-23-84 to verify identities of our personnel.
