Fil-Am chamber lauds Del Rosario’s performance

The US-based Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce (Phil-Am Chamber) cited the fruitful five-year performance of outgoing Ambassador to the US, Albert del Rosario.

In a letter to Del Rosario recently, the Phil-Am Chamber noted that the Philippines, through the tireless efforts of the ambassador, "has progressed in the areas of dollar remittances, tourism, Philippine real estate and outsourcing developments, as well as increasing the level of US aid to Philippine institutions."

Phil-Am Chamber chairman Richard Rosenberg and president Butch Meily also expressed deep regrets over the recall of Del Rosario, stressing that he has worked tirelessly as an advocate for Philippine-US relations.

The chamber specifically mentioned Del Rosario’s achievement in bringing investments and jobs back home to the Philippines. It added that Del Rosario’s emphasis on economic diplomacy has had a direct impact on ordinary Filipinos back home.

"Indeed, although you came from the private sector, you have become the very model for a diplomat’s diplomat serving his country with integrity and distinction," the letter added.
