FVR, Cory to lead Mikey wedding sponsors

Former Presidents Corazon Aquino and Fidel Ramos lead the list of sponsors in the upcoming wedding this month of First Son Mikey Arroyo. The wedding will be the first in the Arroyo presidential household.

The list of sponsors was announced at the despedida de soltera last night at the posh Forbes Park residence of Angela Montenegro, Arroyo’s fiancee, in Makati City.

Also in the list of sponsors are Sen. Loren Legarda, Manila Bulletin chairman of the board Emilio Yap, Diosdado Macapagal Jr., Endika Aboitiz, Sally Villarasa, Norma Chan and Mario Cruel.

Daughter to Herman and Charito Montenegro, Angela, 28, wore a fuschia gown made by designer Joe Salazar, while Mikey wore a Barong Tagalog.

In an earlier interview with People Asia, Angela said she’s excited to live in stately Malacañang and occupy the former room of Imee and Irene Marcos.

However, since Mikey is the vice governor of Pampanga, they would be shuttling to and from the presidential palace, Pampanga and the Montenegro residence in Makati.

A graduate of Schiller University with a degree in international business, Angela works in her family’s business and plans to keep her job after marriage.
