MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-Japanese middle blocker Risa Sato is injecting her vast championship experience to an Akari team eyeing a breakthrough crown when the PVL on Tour opens shop on Wednesday in Ilagan, Isabela.

“Ready to bring in her championship experience and energy. Risa will be a huge boost for the Chargers,” the team said on social media.

Sato last suited up for Chery Tiggo last year before its disbandment.

Sato has won a total of 11 PVL championships, the first with Pocari in 2017 and 10 with Creamline.
