MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya star Liza Soberano has shed some light on her month-long social media blackout.

The actress on Tuesday posted about why she has been missing-in-action and how she has been spending her time recently.

“Hi everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA for a while. Just savoring the time I have with the people most special to me. But I do constantly have all of you at the back of my mind and I just want to say thank you so much for all the love and support everyone has been showing me this past month,” Liza posted on Twitter.

The 22-year-old is currently in the United States, where she is caring for her ailing grandmother.

Last month, Liza was red-tagged on social media and even received warning from military official Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. against affiliating with women's group Gabriela.

This was after she spoke as a special guest during the Gabriela Youth webinar “Mga Tinig ni Nene: Reclaiming Our Voice on the International Day of the Girl Child."

“It’s honestly been a very trying time for me and I wanted to express how I was feeling with all of you but it was just too soon for me. I needed to take a break and think about life, my goals and what I think my mission is in life,” Liza wrote.

Over the past few months, Liza also went through filing a criminal complaint for a rape remark as well as dealing with bashers for her stance against the release of US Marine Joseph Pemberton.
