Fresh from the success of 100 Tula Para Kay Stella (with Bela Padilla), JC Santos is paired in Viva Films’ Mr. and Mrs. Cruz with Ryza Cenon who continues to make people hate her with her kontrabida turn in the hit GMA soap Ika-6 Na Utos. Both are among today’s hottest young stars. Good thing the company doesn’t market them as sweethearts because Ryza is committed to Cholo Barretto (whom she met on the set of their starrer Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B) while JC has just broken up with his girlfriend of four years, theater actress Teetin Villanueva, in favor of his career.
Opening nationwide on Wednesday, Jan. 24, with Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo (Kita Kita) directing, the movie is about “the thing that comes with love, but no one wants to really talk about…commitment.” JC as Raffy and Ryza as Gela take a vacation in Palawan where their “unconventional love story” begins.
