MANILA, Philippines – One of the favorite charities of Ricky Reyes is a temporary shelter for ill-stricken children called The ChildHaus that recently celebrated its 12th year.
Children who suffer from cancer and other fatal diseases who need treatments in Quezon City and Manila are welcome in the halfway house together with their parents and guardians. Stay-in volunteers assist in transporting the patients to and from hospitals for regular laboratory check-up and treatments.
Every patient has a different story to tell. Donors and sponsors continue to support The Haus for the patients’ full recovery.
Generous people pool their resources to produce ChildHaus, The Movie. Proceeds of which will be used to cover expenses for food, clothing, medicines and other amenities for the patients.
On Nov. 14, GMA News TV’s GRR TNT will feature the making of the movie. ChildHaus patients MC and Sam will participate in the project. Some celebrities choose to celebrate their birthdays with the children.
