MANILA, Philippines - Kyla is moving on to a different chapter in her career.

In a interview at the sidelines of the launch of City of Dreams Manila recently, the singer revealed her performance in GMA-7’s variety show “Sunday All Stars” last Sunday was her last.

“I’ll be moving on to something new,” Kyla told Philstar.com and other members of the press.

She added: “I’ll be performing in ‘ASAP’ very, very soon.”

“ASAP” is the Sunday variety show of ABS-CBN, the competing show of GMA-7‘s “Sunday All Stars.”

Asked if Kyla has already signed a contract with ABS-CBN, she said: “Actually, not yet, I haven’t seen the contract. But okay na yun. We have talked already.”

“Hindi ko pa po alam exactly kung ano ang mga gagawin ko doon. But I know for sure I’ll be with ‘ASAP’,” Kyla added.

Kyla is a long-time talent of GMA-7 and a mainstay performer of the network’s Sunday show “Sunday All Stars” and

What made Kyla decide to make a change in her career?

“Alam mo, for a very long time, I have been praying na ma-meet ko yung mga tao who will give me courage and direction,” she told Philstar.com

“And then, I think in one of the events--I think Awit Awards--I stumbled across a lot of people, kasama na doon ang Cornerstone.”

Cornerstone Talent Management Center is the talent agency that handles a number of ABS-CBN artists such as Yeng Constantino, Sam Milby, Erik Santos and Jericho Rosales, among others.

“Then, nag-lead na doon. Everything just happened so fast for me. Medyo nagugulat pa rin,” Kyla added.

“But I feel really great about my decision. I mean, I didn’t burn any bridge naman. I’m still friends with everybody. Nagkaroon ako ng closure, I said my goodbyes and their all very happy for me.”

Kyla was long-time talent of GMA-7 and a regular performer in “Sunday All Stars” and its timeslot predecessor “SOP.”

If her move becomes official, Kyla is the latest artist from GMA-7 to move to ABS-CBN in the latest few months. Isabelle Daza and Jolina Magdangal have recently joined ABS-CBN after being artists of GMA-7 for several years.
