MANILA, Philippines - BB Gandanghari has clarified that Carmina Villaroel and Rustom Padilla, the transgender's old self, had closure when he announced on national television that he is gay.

“Mayro'n po, that was in 2005 kami nagkausap. Napakaganda nga no'n kasi it was really a closure between the two of them,” she said, referring to Carmina and her former identity Rustom, in an interview on Thursday.

“'Yong bago talaga mag-out si Rustom kay Carmina siya unang nakipag-usap para maging fair kay Carmina,” she added.

BB had said that she joined ABS-CBN's reality show, Pinoy Big Brother, in 2006 because she has a plan of admitting her true sexuality to the public and also to end speculations on the broken marriage of Rustom and Carmina in 2002.

BB said her conversation with Carmina was heartfelt.

“Nagkaanak na na siya. At that time 'yon ang malaking eskandalo, hindi nag-react si Rustom. Hindi parang nag-grand standing, hindi nakisali sa gulo. Sabi niya, 'Ngayon na ikaw naman nangangailangan ng tulong, tutulungan din kita.'”

BB said that the transition with his family, especially his brothers including Robin, was also not easy. He his brothers have already accepted her.

“The adjustment, I think, is still on going. Pero malaki na 'yong pinagbago,” she said about the adjustments of her brothers to her knew identity. “Sabi ko nga just a few months ago wala silang idea kung ano ang transgender na pinagsasabi ko, wala talaga. Tapos ngayon alam na nila.”

BB said she is also hoping that the Padillas would set an example to other families who are also in the same situation.

Meanwhile, BB said that she would like to have a child.

“Kung pagiging magulang is concerned, whether you want to label that as daddy or mommy, I don't really care, pero pangarap ko magka-anak kahit isa,” she said.

BB will be starring in TV5's sitcom “2 1/2" Daddies with her brothers Robin and Rommel Padilla. It will start airing on Saturday, January 24, 8 p.m.
