MANILA, Philippines- The race is on again as TV5's franchise of “The Amazing Race Philippines” Season 2 starts airing on Monday, October 6.
Eleven teams will compete this season, from different walks of life, all with their own goals and reasons for joining the competition.
The show's host Derek Ramsay says that for this years participants, it wasn't only about the prize.
“This is a multi-awarded show, and it was not awarded only because of the prizes. It gives so much opportunity to people, mind-blowing experiences, life-changing experiences,” he said.
“They get to travel around our beautiful country. So it's not because of the prize, there are a lot of reality shows out there that gives the same prizes, but this show gives more than that. For me, given the opportunity to travel different destinations, get to do this challenges, are part of what makes the show so successful.”
