MANILA, Philippines - Her No. 1 fan made one of her biggest dreams come true.

Budding singer Hannah Nolasco has launched her self-titled debut album with the full and loving support of her father, (retired) Philippine Air Force Col. Ricardo Nolasco Jr. The album also served as a touching 16th birthday gift of a father to his unica hija.

“The production of this album is not for fame or fortune, but rather my humble way of bringing Hannah closer to the realization of her dreams,” said Nolasco, who is also proprietor of the popular Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

Hannah grew up with many interests, including sports (from basketball, swimming to gymnastics) and ballet lessons, but her father spotted her musical inclinations early on.

“At three years old, she liked to hum and (showed interest in) playing the piano,” said Col. Nolasco, who also recalled how her daughter as a kid enjoyed sitting on his lap whenever he played his favorite piano pieces.

Like a typical teenager, Hannah is a huge fan of pop music, citing Ariana Grande, One Direction, Katy Perry, Vanessa Hudgens, Rihanna and Taylor Swift as her favorites.

Her album launch recently held at the Hard Rock Café in Glorietta, Makati saw Hannah performing her songs, which reflect the fun, charming and passionate girl that she is.

Many teens can relate to the album because the songs Peksman (its carrier single), In Lab, Dito Lang Ako, Paano Naman Ako, Torpe, I Like Mo Naman Ako, Havey at Waley, Tinamaan Ako, etc. are about friendship, young love, family and other teenage dreams, and with beats ranging from up-tempo to mellow.

Now a senior high school student at San Beda College Alabang, Hannah said that her music “reflects who I am and what I believe in” and dedicates it to her “constant source of inspiration,” her father.

Guest artists during the launch were Bryan Termulo and Jake Vargas.
