MANILA, Philippines – After months of endless disputes, it seems like Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago are well on their way to patching things up for the sake of their children Santino and Sabina.
According to previous reports, the two have been meeting for court-suggested mediation sessions.
This comes after Claudine surprised her followers on Instagram last Saturday, June 28 by posting a photo of herself with her children and Raymart. The caption of the photo goes: “Happy day.”
The STAR entertainment editor Ricky Lo wrote on his column on Tuesday, July 1 that Claudine allowed Raymart to see their children despite an existing temporary restraining order against the actor.
“Sabi ko nga (kay Raymart) when we were talking na, 'We failed as a couple already, as husband and wife. Let's not fail as parents',” Claudine said in an interview with GMA-7's news program “24 Oras” aired Tuesday, July 1.
She added, “Sinabi ko kay Raymart, karirin na natin ito, yung pagiging magulang.”
Raymart told “24 Oras”: “Yun yung napagkasunduan namin, e. Kung para sa mga bata, open yung lines namin.”
Raymart shared how his Instagram photo with Claudine and his children over the weekend came about.
“Yung time na yun, kasama ko yung mga anak ko, yun yung oras ko sa mga anak ko. Sumunod na lang siya (Claudine) nung dinner. Nagrequest na lang yung mga anak ko na magpa-picture,” he said.
“Wala namang mas ikatutuwa pa ang isang magulang kundi makita ang anak niyang masaya,” Claudine said.
Although Claudine and Raymart have decided to be civil with each other, there's no word on whether the two will withdraw the legal charges they filed against each other. - Chuck Smith
