Body Talk with Meg Imperial

Introduced as a sexy star in the 2013 skin flick Menor de Edad, Meg goes a bit bolder in Moon of Desire, the ABS-CBN afternoon delight which premieres today, with JC de Vera as leading man

Early last year, Meg Imperial took a bow as a sexy actress in Viva Films’ Menor de Edad. Starting today, she will be every man’s “afternoon delight” as the lead star of Moon of Desire, ABS-CBN’s sexiest and most desirable afternoon series which premieres in Kapamilya Gold.

“It still hasn’t sunk in yet,” said Meg, referring to her biggest break. A deadringer for Danita Paner, Meg is from the influential Imperial clan in Bicol. “I’m excited, and at the same time nervous because this is a first, and I have no idea how viewers will receive the show or my performance.”

The “sexserye” also stars JC de Vera, Ellen Adarna, Dominic Roque and model-turned-actor Miko Raval. Who does Meg think is the most desirable among the three actors?

“It’s JC,” said Meg, 21, who joined showbiz when she was 10. (JC is the former boyfriend of Danita.) “His skin color and physique suit his personality. I know JC more than I know Dom and Miko. He’s a really good actor.”

As a Kapamilya, Meg has appeared in Be Careful with My Heart, ASAP, It’s Showtime and two MMK episodes before finally playing the role of Gina in Galema: Anak ni Zuma. In the recent Viva movie, ABNKKBSNPLAko!? (with Jericho Rosales), she stole some scenes as a tomboyish student.

In Moon of Desire, Meg plays Ayla who is mistreated because of hypertrichosis (having excessive growth of hair all over her body). The popular radio DJ of the program Moon of Desire, Ayla hides her insecurities behind the radio booth and finds acceptance from her listeners who seek her advice on love. JC as Ayla’s childhood friend became a dermatologist who finds the treatment for her condition.

Also included in the cast are Precious Lara Quigaman, Carmi Martin, Perla Bautista, Beauty Gonzales, Dawn Jimenez and Franco Daza. The series is directed by FM Reyes and Raymund Ocampo.

The original theme song Moon of Desire was composed by Trina Belamide and interpreted by The Voice of the Philippines finalist Morissette Amon.
