MANILA, Philippines - A good round of laughs is in store for TV viewers today as the hilarious comedy film Raketeros will finally be making its TV premiere on Cinema One, following its release last year for Star Cinema’s 20th anniversary.
Raketeros, directed by Randy Santiago, stars ’90s comedy icons Herbert Bautista, Dennis Padilla, Long Mejia, Andrew E. and Ogie Alcasid.
It details the adventures and misadventures of a group of middle-aged male friends — the cable guy Berto (Herbert), the billiards player Mando (Dennis), the driver Mulong (Long), the “religious†Andoy (Andrew E.) and the all-around singer Julio (Ogie). In the film, the five gather to complete the simple task of delivering an expensive gown to their rich friend’s mansion — but a series of mishaps puts them and their success in jeopardy.
