MANILA, Philippines - A passion for music will fill Bonifacio Global City (BGC) during the 2012 Passionfest weekend of the district.

A unique mobile concert on Nov. 23 will take visitors around some of BGC’s top attractions. Performing first on the mobile stage set-up in a truck will be Wolfgang led by Basti Artadi with a sextet of wind and string musicians. It will rock the house with a replay of local and foreign movie themes at 6:30 p.m. on 9th St. in Bonifacio High Street. Next stop is on 3rd Ave., The Mind Museum at 8:30 p.m. with jazz band The Brass Munkeys and guitar master Jun Lopito on keyboards. At 10 p.m., the Razorback will bring everyone back to the ’70s and ’80s era of Pinoy Rock at the Turf BGC on 9th Ave. Closing the night at 11:30 p.m. at the Fort Entertainment Center will be the resounding electronic music of silverfilter, complementing the club-jazz repertoire of Skarlet. For the convenience of the public, the BGC Hop On, Hop Off tour bus will operate from 7 p.m. to 12 midnight.

On Nov. 24 and 25 at The Great BGC Outdoors, the nightly BGC Impromptu in Bonifacio High Street (BHS) provides rhythm to the festivities. Between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. amateur but passionate artists and entertainers will perform at different areas of BHS. Hear acoustic groups, trios, indie pop, choirs, and others show off their talent and creativity.

The Nov. 25 live music at BGC will set you in the mood for the coming Christmas season. At 6 p.m., be at the BHS Central for the BGC Holidays ceremonial opening. Aside from the lighting of 15 construction tower cranes and overhead street protections for a contest dubbed Symphony of Lights, watch the world-class performances of The Net Group Christmas Chorale 2011 Winner’s Circle, Ballet Philippines and Tanghalang Pilipino.

The Passionfest will feature not only musical performances, but a great outdoor fair complete with kids and pet zones, kiddie shows, picnic area, fair games, treats and entertainers. Not to be missed are the outdoor movies (Toy Story, Finding Nemo and The Avengers) that will be shown at BHS Central.
