MANILA, Philippines - Here are two photos (contributed by Funfare’s Big Apple correspondent Edmund Silvestre) of Miss Angola Leila Lopes, the stunning colored beauty who beat Philippine bet Shamcey Supsup (third runner-up) in yesterday’s Miss Universe Pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A lot of people, including Oprah Winfrey who was quoted in Internet reports, commented that Shamcey should have won based on her answer in the final judging among the Top 5, in which Shamcey placed No. 1 in the Fans’ Voting, followed by Miss Angola (No. 2), Miss Ukraine (No. 3), Miss Brazil (No. 4) and Miss China (No. 5).
