Tragic deaths in Tumbok

MANILA, Philippines - How would you like to live in a T-junction house or what we call tumbok? According to feng shui, the life force should flow slowly. But in the case of the T-junction, it moves rapidly from the road and the residents of the house blocking its path are believed to suffer from the destructive effect.

The families or individuals living in tumbok are said to be prone to accidents and sickness. The negative vibes also create huge losses in material wealth.

It can also affect the relationship of spouses. The curse of tumbok is believed to result to tragic deaths. Viva Films explores these via the summer movie Tumbok.

Cristine Reyes and Carlo Aquino play as newlyweds Grace and Ronnie. They move into a condominium unit they inherit from Ronnie’s father. The place has an eerie feeling, and Grace begins to experience paranormal sightings.

What’s worse is she becomes a victim of incubus and gets pregnant. Though she and Ronnie are thrilled about the pregnancy, Grace is still disturbed about the occurrences.

Can Grace and Ronnie save themselves from the impending danger brought about by the tumbok? What mystery lies in the past that haunts them?

It is directed by Topel Lee and also stars Ryan Eigenmann and LJ Moreno. The screenplay is by Aloy Adlawan and Keiko Aquino.

Tumbok opens May 4 in theaters.
