Charice, Foster and company hospitalized in Singapore

BREAKING NEWS: As we go to press, The STAR received the report that Charice (photo) and David Foster, and everybody in their entourage were rushed to a hospital in Singapore due to apparent food poisoning.

Bum Tenorio, assistant editor and columnist of Allure, this paper’s Sunday section, and a close friend and neighbor of Charice and her family in Cabuyao, Laguna, confirmed the news from one of Charice’s companions in Singapore.

“Charice had a slight stomachache after eating sushi in the Green Room restaurant where the group had lunch yesterday,” said Bum. “They were examined at the hospital and were discharged in a while.”

Charice and Foster had an SRO staging of Hitman: David Foster & Friends at the Araneta Coliseum Saturday (Oct. 23) last week. The concert tour was kicked off in Las Vegas. After Manila, they did the show in Bangkok before they went to Singapore.

“Nothing serious,” another source told The STAR.

According to reports, the show in Singapore scheduled last night would be pushed through. Doctors were quoted as saying that the food poisoning wouldn’t affect Charice’s performance and those of the rest, including Peter Cetera, The Canadian Tenors, American Idol alumnus Ruben Studdard and Natalie Cole.
