Bold kitchen creations

MANILA, Philippines - 2nd Avenue serves up a sizzling fresh culinary docu-series Wednesday nights at 9 starting tomorrow, Oct. 6. The Naughty Kitchen with Chef Blythe Beck is set in the kitchen of The Central 214, a restaurant located in a luxury boutique hotel in Dallas, Texas.

On a quest for “Total World Culinary Domination,” Blythe is as bold in life as she is with her kitchen creations. Her cooking has caused a major sensation in Dallas called “Sexy New American Cuisine.” Her food is innovative and decadent and lives by her food philosophy “Keep it naughty!” For Blythe “naughty” means butter, cream, cheese and pork fat, all the things we know we shouldn’t be eating, but taste sinfully good.

It is that type of attitude you can also expect on the show. In the first episode, Blythe does not stop cameras when she gets a bad review from a local newspaper. Instead you see the paper used as a way to mop up spilled beer. The drama does not end there which is what makes this docu-series so fun to watch.

Joining Blythe are her saucy restaurant staff: GM Megan, the multi-tasking diva in heels; Sous Chef Eric, Blythe’s go-to-guy; Emily, the carefree hostess; Curtis, the flirtatious host; event coordinator Kerri who hates health food; Sam, the single and sassy cocktail server; Robyn, Central 214’s queen of cocktails; and Calvin, Blythe’s favorite hunky waiter.
