What would you feel if you can watch your life on TV where you can do a rewind to see your past and a fast forward to see your future? Isn’t that wonderful and convenient?
Perhaps it would be easier for us to become good if we can rely on something like that. It gives us the assurance of where we stand. Have we been good or bad? Are we going to decide to be good or bad?
But it is just a wild thought. The fact is — our conscience is the TV inside us. Tough luck because it can be as blurred as a malfunctioning TV transmission. We even refuse to believe the truth no matter how plain and simple it is.
Examine yourselves by answering this simple question. Do you want to go to heaven?
Oh boys, and girls, I can hear you all saying you do. Well, you can go to heaven if you are good, if you believe in Jesus Christ and if you obey His words. Yeah, obey. Sounds so simple, doesn’t it? — OBEY.
To obey, you surrender yourselves to God’s will. You let Him take control of your lives, then you carry this out through your thoughts, actions and words. In addition to that, you keep yourselves pure to be able to enter the kingdom of God.
Shucks! Can you do those things? Maybe later when you are done with your worldly activities? Though later maybe decades away, later can be tonight or after an hour. Are you ready to go?
Most of us believe that there is heaven and hell, yet, how many of us are prepared? For those who don’t believe, go ahead and try to burn your finger. If you can bear it, then, by all means, enjoy the balls of fire!
You and I still have time to check our “televisions.” Are we good? Are our hearts pure? Do we obey Jesus?
RRIIIIIINNNNGGGG. Time’s up? God is calling? — Heaven or hell?
