Namumuro ang UST sa UAAP overall

MANILA, Philippines — Kahit may tatlong disciplines pa ang natitira, umarangkada na ang University of Santo Tomas sa karera para sa General Championship trophy ng UAAP Season 80.

Bigo man sa mas popular na men’s basketball  at men’s at women’s volleyball events, nakasungkit naman ng titulo sa anim na disciplines at anim din ang runner-up finish bukod pa sa tatlong third placers ang Espana-based Growling Tigers upang manguna sa kabuuang 261 puntos.

Tanging ang men at women’s volleyball at men’s football na lang ang hindi pa natatapos kaya malaki na ang bentahe ng UST na masungkit ang General Championship trophy sa season na ito.

Nag-kampeon ang UST sa women’s beach volleyball, women’s lawn tennis, women’s track and field, sa poomsae (coed), men’s judo at women’s judo.

Ang champion ay binibigyan ng 15 puntos habang 12 sa runner-up at 10 sa third placers. Ang huling limang finishers ay binibigyan din ng 8-6-4-2-1 puntos ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Tumapos ng runner-up ang UST sa men’s beach volleyball, men’s table tennis, women’s table tennis, men’s fencing, women’s softball at women’s football at third placer naman sa wo-men’s basketball, women’s swimming at men’s taekwondo.

Pumapangalawa naman ang De La Salle Green Archers na may 242 puntos kasunod ang University of the Philippines Maroons na may 211 habang 198 ang Ateneo at 160 ang University of the East.

Pang-anim naman ang National University sa 154 at pang-pito ang Far Eastern University sa 127 puntos at nangungulelat naman ang Adamson sa 88 puntos na naghari naman sa men’s baseball at women’s softball.

Ang pumapangalawang De La Salle ay kampeon sa women’s chess, wo-men’s table tennis, women’s badminton at women’s football habang runner-up sila sa men’s basketball, men’s swimming, men’s chess, poomsae at men’s baseball.

Third placer ang Green Archers sa men’s tennis, women’s tennis, men’s track and field, men’s fencing, women’s fencing at men’s judo.

Walang event na kampeon ang UP pero runner-up  sila sa 5-events at may pitong third place.
