Sweeter by the dozen for topnotch e-karateka De los Santos

CEBU, Philippines —  Cebuano world No.1 e-karateka Orencio James “OJ” De los Santos bagged his 12th gold medal of the year after reigning supreme in the Kamikaze Karate E-Tournament yesterday.

The 30-year-old De los Santos outclassed Matias Moreno Domont of Switzerland in the final, 25-24.5.

“Thank you God for the opportunity.Thank you to all the supporters. More to come,” De los Santos wrote on his Facebook page.

Again, the two-time Southeast Asian (SEA) Games bronze medalist was extra happy as his

 MKKPI student Fatima A-Isha Lim Hamsain came up with another golden performance.

Hamsain edged Elisa Dominijanni of Italy, 24.8-23.6, to clinch gold medal in the women’s U16 e-kata category. She affirmed her mastery over the Italian, 24.7-23.8, to lord it over the women’s U18 division. — EBV
