UC, USC dominate CESAFI tikefest

CEBU, Philippines — The University of Cebu and University of San Carlos jins ruled their respective divisions in the 19th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc.,(CESAFI) taekwondo tournament at Cebu Doctor’s University gym over the weekend.

UC reigned supreme in the collegiate action while USC topped the secondary division.

UC harvested nine gold, two silver and three bronze medals. USC came second with seven golds and two silvers, while University of San Jose-Recoletos wound up third with three golds, two silvers and three bronzes.

UC Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue (UCLM) Campus had a 2-5-2 gold-silver-bronze medal haul while CDU got two golds and three silver to place fourth and fifth, respectively.

In the secondary class, USC garnered eight golds and four silvers, while UCLM got eight golds and three bronzes. UC settled for third with five golds and four silvers, while University of the Visayas clinched fourth with one gold.
