Cebu darts season opens Jan. 10

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Darts League unfolds its 2014 edition on January 10 at the Baseline Sports and Recreation Center. The weekly event will take place every Friday.

Points will be awarded to the top performers of the singles competition. A maximum of 30 points will be given to the champion, while the second to fourth will get 24, 20 and 16 points, respectively.

The joint fifth and sixth will earn 12 points, the next two finishers will receive eight, while the ninth to 16th will  have four points each.Those who won't make it to the top 16 will get one point each.

The points system will not only determine the most consistent among the local darters but also serves as basis for selecting Cebu's representatives to out-of-town tournaments. (FREEMAN)
