CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano pedal-pushers train their sights on another out-of-town race, this time in Tacloban City via the 2nd Richie Yu Cup Tour of Smiles on September 29-30.
The two-day tilt features a racer and mountainbike events.
The road racers will be dealing with a two-stage battle. The opening stage on September 29 covers 70 kilometers from Dolongan to Calbiga, while the the second stage is a 16-kilometer individual time trial.
The road race is divided into two divisions, open and executive, while the mountainbike event will have a criterium and downhill competition.
Cash prizes and medals will be given away to the top performers.
Entry fee is pegged at P500 inclusive of a race jersey, meal and raffle ticket. The first 100 registrants will get a souvenir shirt.
