Cebu Dragons, Komodo shine in Cebu 10s rugby

CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Dragons and Cebu Komodo Dragons topped their respective divisions in the 2011 Cebu 10s International Rugby Festival at the Cebu International School (CIS) field.

Cebu Dragons bagged the Dragon’s Claw title after they blanked the visiting MAAP of Bataan, 5-0, behind the efforts of Noel Flowers and Jerry Branzuela.

 Cebu Komodo Dragons, on the other hand, grabbed the Dragon’s Tail Final crown after trouncing the Manila Hapons, 24-7, courtesy of Chenzo Flor and Jeth Estimo.

 The Manila Nomads Rugby Club got its fourth straight title in the Dragon Cup after clobbering the Alabang Eagles, 12-7, in the final.

The Nomads Carabaos got the Dragon’s Balls title after crushing Beijing Aardvarks, 5-0.

Beijing Aardvarks, however, did not go home empty handed as they were hailed as the Most Festive Team, while Jun Park was named as Player of the Day. - THE FREEMAN
