CEBU, Philippines —  A 69-year-old woman died while her 70-year old husband was injured after they were figured in a road accident Thursday night while riding a bicycle along the national highway in Poblacion, Medellin.

The fatality was identified as Benedicta Baring while the husband was identified as Felix Baring, both residents of Barangay Daanlungsod of the said town.

Police Corporal Rosano Quedding, desk officer of the Medellin Police Station, said the couple was about to go home when the bicycle they were riding was hit by a motorcycle driven by Jose Roel Nalzaro, 22, a resident of the place of the incident.

Both parties involved were traveling in the same direction.
