LTO-7 to implement single window system
CEBU, Philippines — A new system will be implemented by the Land Transportation Office-7 in its new office at the Robinsons Galleria.
LTO-7 director Victor Caindec said the new land transportation management system will feature a single window transaction. He said the system is part of the agency’s IT modernization program.
“One of the features of that office being built today is that this is the first time that we are looking at the flow and dynamics of the agency's process. This is to eliminate the long waiting time and long transaction hours of LTO," said Caindec.
Caindec said that unlike in some of their offices wherein clients would transact from one window to another, at their new office a client will only transact in one window.
He is thankful to the mall management for spending P8 million for the office renovation without a single centavo counterpart from the government.
Caindec said the current LTO-7 office along Natalio Bacalso Avenue in Cebu City will be transferred to Robinsons Galleria while the Malasakit Lounge will remain for special sectors.
The new office, which is LTO-7’s largest office in the region, came into fruition as a public-private partnership.
Caindec said that when the public is given more offices as options for them to do government transactions, it will eliminate complaints and will give the public a hassle-free transaction. — FPL (FREEMAN)
