Fire razes 62 houses in Lapu-Lapu

CEBU, Philippines — A fire razed 62 houses in Sitio Ibabao, Barangay Pusok, Lapu- Lapu City at around 5:50 a.m. yesterday.

Gina Rosales, the owner of the house where the fire reportedly started, said she saw a spark on the roof and tried to douse it out with water.

However, the fire spread quickly.

According to Jesus Marcus Antonius, City Social Welfare Administrative II, more or less 200 affected residents were given relief goods like rice, cup noodles, and sardines.
