Helper robbed, shot
CEBU, Philippines - A helper was robbed and shot on Sunday morning along corner M.C. Quezon St., Nasipit Rd., Barangay Talamban, Cebu City.
The victim, identified as Cheche Martinez, 23, is a native from Poblacion Tabon, Dalaguete, Cebu, and a stay-in house helper at Town Homes, Nasipit, Barangay Talamban.
A police report said that Martinez, at around 6 a.m., was walking along the said street when two unidentified men on board a motorcycle appeared beside her.
The assailant, who rode as passenger, pulled out an unknown firearm and exclaimed “hold-up!†The victim did not want to surrender her things, and so she fought back. The assailant shot her right leg, took her Cherry Mobile phone, and fled.
The victim was brought to North General Hospital by a security guard, Rene Aroiza, while the police are still conducting search operations on the assailants. (FREEMAN)
