CEBU, Philippines - A woman who works as a secretary at the Cebu Orthopedic Institute came home Thursday to her rented room in Nivel Hills, barangay Busay, Cebu City and found some things missing and immediately suspected a break-in.
Gedvel Cavada said over P47,000 worth of belongings had vanished.
She told The FREEMAN she lost a laptop worth P20,000, a portable DVD player worth P6,000, a video camera at P10,000, Nintendo DS at P9,000, and a pair of gold and silver earrings worth P2,500.
She said a knife in her kitchen was also missing.
Cavada said anyone who had gone into her room could have entered through the back door which she said was not locked properly.
“Nag-shopping g’yud ang kawatan. Gikan sa backdoor nga sayon ra ma-ambak ang kural,” Cavada said.
She still expects to get her things back.
“I’m still hoping my things would be returned to me.”
The police are on the case. (FREEMAN)
