Free no scalpel vasectomy for five days set at SWU

A five-day free No Scalpel Vasectomy mission is slated on February 16 to 17 and February 22 to 24 at the Southwestern University Sacred Heart Hospital by a team from NSV International USA led by Dr. Ramon Suarez.

The No Scalpel Vasectomy is a 15-minute procedure that is simple and safe, this was assured.

It does not entail incision and suture, but just plain band-aid and is the best option for couples who do not intend to have children anymore.

The Population Commission has recommended vasectomy among men as one of the safest method in family planning.

The NSV International is advocating responsible parenthood through family planning amid the financial hardships majority of the Filipinos is facing due to the prevalent economic crisis.

Some couples who may not want children anymore but have no plans of using effective family planning methods suffer from the financial burden of producing more children than the desired number.

As a result, the children are deprived of their basic needs especially in the areas of medical and hospitalization and ending up being malnourished, this is learned.

Dr. Suarez and Engr. Bob Kiamco, SWU alumni and founders of NSV International, both residing in the US, have undergone vasectomy themselves and have now become strong advocates of vasectomy together with their spouses.

Suarez has been performing vasectomy for more than 20 years in the US and other countries.

Those who are interested to avail of the free NSV and want to seek for further details may contact SWU medical social worker Ms. Frohnie Cagalitan at 254-7929 loc. 510 or 416-6084. - Jasmin R. Uy/MEEV
