Like what we had three years ago – a Miami Sunset Cruise – Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa’s Sunset Cruise is no different. Only the M/S Vianelle Trimaran Ketch Yacht is smaller than the ship we had in Miami.
But, we had a beautiful and wonderful experience during the Shangri-La’s sunset cruise crossing the Mactan Channel, seeing all the white beaches, plus we were mesmerized by the dolphins, who seemed excited to see us.
The hospitality extended us (about 30 members of the press) by General Manager Joachim Schutte was out of this world. We were served with non-stop flowing chilled tropical juice, soda and wine, as well as exquisite hot and cold canapés such as Prawn Catalan and Olive on Skewer, Vietnamese Chicken Spring Rolls with Sweet Chili Dip; Brie with Onion Marmalade on Rye Bread, Thai Chicken Satay with Peanut Dip, Chili Pork Skewers, Fish Cake with sweet and sour sauce and Island Fruit Skewers. I heard that all of the food served us was what the in-house guests will be given, too. Right after the cruise, a sumptuous dinner, all seafood, awaited us at The Tides. From us all, we will always treasure the memory of having been the first to taste the beauty of cruising with Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa’s Vianelle Trimaran Ketch Yacht.
