Fit to a T

CEBU, Philippines - At the recent installation for exciting retail brand Bench, everybody loved the “I love” series of shirts and tops for men and women. It’s an apt tag for the geometric, colorrific hues it unleashed for Wear Your Dreams, the show for call center giant Convergys. What was even more exciting was that it dabbled in couture as it was paired with paillette and sequined skirts and short shorts for the ladies. The collection was a departure for a brand more known for casual tops and jeans. Is it, too, feeling the urge to dress up?

The geometric theme gave Bench a playful peek of the ultra young hip Pinoy as each tee blatantly displayed a love for lechon, halo halo and anything distinctively Filipino. Though it still has the shock of the sex appeal it has used many times over. Clad only in low slung jeans, 25 male models rocked the converging runway that sent everyone screaming. A plethora of students, Convergys’ top achievers, models and of course the endorser, a diminutive actor that intensified the screams, put the conglomeration between Bench and Convergys into the annals of the local fashion history. The way that Bench meandered into pailleted skirts, sequined shorts, draped skirts and the “I love” series tees signaled the retail brand’s new formula for an attention grabbing show that declared it’s a whole new different lifestyle, more than just selling the underwear line they are popularly known for. Bravissimo!
