Microtel Grand Resorts Mactan names GM

CEBU, Philippines – Dean Ynalvez Cid has been appointed as General Manager of the 161 room Microtel Grand Resorts Mactan.

Cid comes to Cebu after successful stints with the fast growing chain’s properties in Boracay and Batangas, in which he held similar positions.

An experienced hotelier, Cid grew from the ranks from his first job as front desk clerk at Intercontinental Manila in 1991 and became duty manager of the five-star Makati Hotel in 1996.

He moved to become operations manager of the Millenium Plaza Hotel in Makati and later as resident manager at the Executive Plaza in Malate, Manila in 2002, before rejoining Intercontinental Manila as front office manager in 2004.

He joined Microtel Inn & Suites in Batangas in 2005, Cid holds a Masters in Management from the Asian Institute of Management and graduated from University of the Philippines Diliman in Hotel & Restaurant Administration.

Microtel Inn & Suites operates and manages nine hotels and resorts in the Philippines with branches in Baguio, Batangas, Boracay, Cavite, Cabanatuan, Davao, Mactan, Puerto Princesa and Tarlac. Its 10th hotel is under construction in Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Microtel Inn & Suites is an international chain of hotels under the Wyndham Hotel Group with 330+ properties worldwide. Wyndham is the world’s largest lodging franchise with about 6,500 hotels in 59 countries.

All Microtels in the Philippines are operated by Microtel Development Corporation which is the hospitality arm of the PHINMA group.
