CEBU, Philippines — To celebrate its seventh anniversary, M-Talent Events and Promotions is marking the occasion with a grand ball and an even grander pageant that will search for a beauty who will serve as its face for an entire year.

Ms. M-Talent 2019, a brainchild of M-Talent Events and Promotions founder and businesswoman Aida Patana, gathered 11 beauties from Cebu who will vie for the title this Saturday, March 30, at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Among the familiar faces in the impressive roster is Princess Joesel Mae Bajamonde, who represented the town of Dalaguete in last year’s Binibining Cebu pageant where she finished among the Top 20 finalists. An International Studies student at the University of San Jose-Recoletos, Bajamonde – Miss Calendar Cebu 2015, Miss Basak Pardo 2016, Miss Dumanjug 2017, Miss Juicy Cologne Brand Ambassador 2017, Miss Unity Ride 2017 and Miss Badian 2018 – is also an official candidate to this year’s Miss Earth Philippines search.

Another strong Ms. M-Talent 2019 contender is Filipina-Arabian Kefaiah Al-Zair, who was recently among the 24 pre-qualifying finalists of Miss Teen Philippines-Central Visayas.

The rest of the candidates are Ninotzchka Antonio, Caryl Anne Beltran, Rikki Louisse Alivio, Lovely Handog, Charline Bamelis, Denise Gabrielle Capuyan, Kiara Liane Wellington, Gabrielle Louise Kong and Emen Enriquez.

The Ms. M-Talent 2019 winner will receive P1 million worth of prizes (cash, trip abroad, M-Talent contract, gift certificates), while her first and second runners-up will get P300,000 and P150,000 worth of prizes, respectively.

The M-Talent Events and Promotions judging panel, to be headed by master couturier Cary Santiago, will include Ruffa Gutierrez, Shamcey Supsup, Jonas Gaffud, Daisy Reyes, Regal Oliva, Kat de Castro, Eva Patalinjug, Maria Elena, Kate Hill, and Michel Lhuillier.

While M-Talent Events and Promotions’ seventh anniversary date is actually March 23, they will hold their grand ball and pageant on March 30. Dinner and performances also await guests.

M-Talent Events and Promotions was founded by Patana in 2012 to provide celebrities and performers during events. Whether an event has no showbiz connection, the presence of celebrities, however briefly, adds excitement, glamour and the necessary added publicity that organizers are longing for. Which is why a simple restaurant ribbon cutting, a company party or business chamber affair often contract TV/movie idols for the star wattage they provide.

Patana’s friends often turned to her when they needed guest celebrities to spice up some event, so the innate entrepreneur in her thought, why not just put up a formal talent agency that will cater to this very need? Thus was born M-Talent Events and Promotions.

With the existence of her company, negotiations between clients and the stars they wish to bring over became easier in terms of arrangements and rates because she directly speaks with their managers, most of whom are her good friends.
