Judy Ann, Ryan have 'hush-hush' wedding: Newlyweds make sure there's no prenup agreement

- Ricky L. Calderon -

Here’s a scoop all the way from New York, courtesy of our good friend Senedy Que, the award-winning writer of “Mga Munting Tinig.”

While shooting for the much-awaited Star Cinema film, “In My Life,” the car that John Lloyd Cruz was driving got into an accident.

Playing the role of Noel, John Lloyd plays an illegal alien living in New York trying to make ends meet by working three jobs—one of which is driving a limousine. The unforeseen incident occurred during the shoot of a scene where John Lloyd was driving along the freeway.  The traffic light ahead turned red.  John Lloyd promptly stopped. The problem was, the Chinese-looking driver behind him did not step on his break right away, resulting in his car bumping onto the limousine that Lloydie was driving.

Good thing the limousine which Star Cinema rented was insured, and since it was the fault of the other driver, he was made to pay the insurance company.  Fortunately, John Lloyd was not hurt and the limousine’s damage was very minimal. The shoot for the rest of the afternoon was packed up.

The following day, shooting resumed with the famous Brooklyn Bridge as backdrop—for a tender scene between John Lloyd and Luis Manzano who play a gay couple in the much-talked about film starring the Star for All Seasons, Vilma Santos, and directed by Olive Lamasan with a screenplay she co-wrote with Raymond Lee and Senedy Que.

Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos—the celebrity couple of the moment—have been trying to keep details of their wedding hush-hush from the public (which was said to have happened early morning yesterday, April 28, in a small church in Batangas). But one thing that Juday makes clear in the May issue of S magazine is this: she and Ryan don’t have a pre-nuptial agreement.

Juday told editor-in-chief Wilson Lee Flores: “We never even discussed it. I believe if both people going into marriage trust each other, like I do completely trust Ryan, then a pre-nuptial agreement is not necessary.”

Ryan, for his part, was forthcoming about his feelings for the actress. He told S associate editor Gabby Libarios how his love for Juday only heightened over time. “Four years ago, you probably heard me talk about her being maalaga. Multiply that by 365 days and then 4 years, ganoon kalalim na ‘yun. She’s still the same person that I fell in love with before. So lumalim lang talaga ‘yung appreciation ko sa mga traits na nagustuhan ko sa kanya.”

The May issue of S magazine also pays tribute to celebrity moms, starting with Lea Salonga who shares the joys of raising daughter Nicole with husband Rob Chien. The Broadway star also relates how motherhood has helped enhance her appreciation of the Miss Saigon song “I’d Give My Life for You,” referring to the ultimate sacrifice a mom would do for her child.

S is the entertainment glossy of the Mega Publishing Group. The May issue is now out in the bookstores and selected retail outlets.
