New romance in the offing for Angelica Panganiban?

- Ricky L. Calderon -
Angelica Panganiban says she has definitely moved on after her break-up with Carlo Aquino. She says there's no reconciliation in the offing with her ex-boyfriend. When Carlo texted her to greet her on her birthday, she texted back by saying, "who you?" She said she changed her phone unit while Carlo changed his phone number. "I was not able to retrieve his new number from my old cellphone unit," said Angelica.

So what did he text back when she asked him who he is? "Wala, sabi niya, Caloy ito, happy birthday. Sabi ko, hi ex."

According to Angelica, Carlo is now an ex-boyfriend-a thing of the past, if we were to put it bluntly. "I've matured. Before I can't say that I've moved on. I've come to realize that he's not the only man for me. There are other guys around. Yeah, it's true that it's not easy to forget a first love but you realize, there are other guys to meet," said the former child actress who's playing one of the lead roles in "Pitong Dalagita" from Canary Films directed by Crisaldo Pablo.

Angelica, who turned 20 recently, said that she's not yet ready to fall in love yet although she hints there are prospects for a possible romance. "Please don't make me say their names because no one has really courted me yet. Pero may nagpapakilig sa akin," says Angel. That person turned out to be Derek Ramsey, who joined Angelica when she celebrated her birthday in Boracay with her friends. It was a memorable celebration, said Angel.

She wanted to keep Derek's identity a secret that was why Angelica didn't want to reveal the name of the guy that makes her "kilig." And no amount of convincing made Angelica budge when she was interviewed last Tuesday at the presscon of "Pitong Dalagita." But imagine the shock and exasperation of the press people who talked to her when, while being interviewed by Cristy Fermin in a radio program just hours after the presscon of "Pitong Dalagita," Angelica would reveal the identity of Derek Ramsey. Is she playing favorites or just wanted to make a white lie?
Marvin has only nice words for former network
Marvin Agustin is pleased with the way his career has turned since he became a certified Kapuso towards the second quarter of 2006. He was cast in "I Love New York" and the new series "Hooo Youooo" on GMA 7 aired every Sunday. He's also set to start work on "Asian Adventures" opposite Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin.

"I am very happy working with GMA. They are helping me realize my dreams, and my passion as an actor. I am very happy with their support," shared Marvin at the presscon of the movie "Wag Kang Lilingon" under Star Cinema and Viva Films. "I only have nice words for ABS-CBN. They also helped change my life."

People were wondering how Marvin felt about setting his foot again on the ABS-CBN compound after he left the network and became a Kapuso star. "It feels good. Masarap. Natakot lang ako kasi akala ko hindi ako papasukin ng guard," he joked. "Kinabahan ako na baka di ako papasukin. Sinaladuhan pa nga ako. Sarado kasi ang gate kaya akala ko hindi ako papasukin."

Marvin wouldn't want to comment anymore on the issue involving him and Kristine Hermosa. They became an item when they are still very young. But Marvin wouldn't want to dwell on the topic anymore in deference to Kristine's desire. After all, both of them have their respective partners now. Why rock the boat when that something romantic happened many years ago when both him and Kristine were still very young?
