Ventures into food business: Young entrepreneur bullish on post-pandemic recovery

CEBU, Philippines — From agriculture to branded home appliance and sportswear businesses, a young Cebuano entrepreneur ventures next into a food business expressing confidence in the recovering economy after the pandemic.

Mark Vincent Lim, president of Limsata Upscale Innovations Inc., opened the first-ever full-store concept of Liang Crispy Roll and the 2nd store of New York Fries and Dips in Cebu, both located at the lower ground level of SM City Cebu, Main Mall.

Noting the encouraging performance of his businesses in other industries, which were also affected by the pandemic-induced slump, Lim is bullish on the promising food business.

Operated through a franchise deal, Lim plans to open more branches within Metro Cebu, depending on the market feasibility.

Aside from the two snack food brands, the company is also preparing to open a Macao Imperial restaurant in SM City Cebu soon.

With over 12,800 branches worldwide, Liang Crispy Roll has become a global snack sensation. Known for its grab-and-go Savory Rolls including Angus Beef, Pork BBQ, 5-Cheese Melt, Chunky Tuna, Veggie Delight, and Grilled Chicken.
