Our words can be life giving

Katherine R. Oyson - The Freeman

I had the chance one morning to listen to Joel Osten on Youtube. His words were uplifting. He said, “A gentle tongue  brings healing – kind, encouraging words. You just don’t know what kind words can do to the spirit of a person. It breathes life in their spirit. Don’t hold those kind and encouraging words. Every person is going through a rough time.  You just don’t’ know what’s inside in their being.  Your words may be ordinary to you, but to the other person those are healing words..”

Osten related that one day his wife met a young woman and she said to her, “You’re beautiful.”  Months passed and his wife and this woman crossed path again. The woman told his wife, “You just don’t know how magical your words. During that time when we met I was in the deep of depression. When you told me that I was beautiful, all those demons of depression were released. My depression was lifted up. I realized that I am a beautiful creation of God.  I am a child of the universe, a part of God’s creation. Thank you very much of those kind words…”

Osten asked, “Are you a healer, a lifter? Our words can be life giving. Look around you.  Take time to let your loved ones and the people that you crossed path with know that you care. You have life giving water. Let them know that you care.  Nobody  you met in the lane of life is met by accident. There’s a reason and a purpose. Why don’t you start within your family? Don’t let a stranger compliment your spouse or your children. Bless your loved ones every day. Bless their greatness. Say, I love you. I’m so blessed to have you in my life.” Verbalized your compliment.  It carries more weight than anything else  in this world.”

“When you are overwhelmed with health problems, bad news, or relationship struggles,  the Word of God can be your source of supernatural help”, the www.bible studytools.com reminds. Here are some of the healing Bible verses as pointed out by our source:

“Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed, save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.” (Jeremiah 17:14)

“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders  of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil In the Name of the Lord.” (James 5:14)

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my  righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

“For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 30:17)

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

“He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (Mark 5:34)

“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessings will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you…” (Exodus 15:26)

“Lord, my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” (Psalms 30:2)
