Tsinoy.com nominated in Asian Internet tilt

Tsinoy.com has been nominated in the Cross Cultural category of the First BusinessOnline and Visa Asian Internet Awards which aims to recognize the region’s "exemplary website talents."

Thousands of websites from 16 Asian countries are vying for the top award in seven categories: B2B, B2C, Business Services, New Concept or Technology/New Company, Government, Informational, and Cross Cultural.

Other awards to be given out are the BOL Readers’ Choice Award, Most Entrepreneurial Internet Achievement, and Hall of Fame citations for individuals who have made exemplary contributions to Asian Internet.

This is not the first time that Tsinoy.com has received recognition from a prestigious award-giving body. In 1999, it won the Most Outstanding Website award in the Culture category of the 2nd Philippine Web Awards, the first such award given in Asia.

Last year, it was a finalist in the Community category in the 3rd Philippine Web Awards.

Tsinoy.com founder Dux Raymond Sy said the site is focused on promoting commerce, Chinese and Filipino lifestyle, culture, heritage, and language.

Launched in 1999, Tsinoy.com has since established its presence among the Chinese-Filipino communities in the Philippines, other parts of Asia and in North America.

In addition, Tsinoy.com has been featured in various publications, websites, TV shows and radio programs worldwide.
