Philippine Heart Center upgrades to advanced imaging devices

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Heart Center (PHC), the country’s leading hospital in cardiovascular care, has acquired new three-dimensional echocardiograms (3D Echo) to further ensure accurate diagnosis of cardio patients.

The machines, Siemens Acuson SC2000 and Acuson X300 Premium, were provided by its partner HealthSolutions Enterprises Inc. (HealthSolutions), a distributor of branded medical equipment.

“Our cardiologists are impressed with the image quality and resolution of the machines,” said PHC executive director Dr. Manuel Chuachiaco Jr. “Now they will be able to perform faster and more detailed tests of a patient’s heart.”

He said PHC will purchase an additional Acuson SC2000 later this year to replace existing echocardiograms.

3D Echo uses an array of transducers to capture two-dimensional images, then reconstructs them in 3D to provide physicians with a detailed view of the heart’s complex anatomy.

HealthSolutions is the preferred partner of some of the country’s leading medical institutions owing to its wide range of products and round-the-clock, after-sales service and technical support for all equipment and devices.
